Based on the outskirts of London, Tariq is the Principal Consultant at his boutique communications and marketing agency, TK Associates.
Formerly the founding MD of one of the UK’s top 20 PR agencies, he has 30 years’ experience in advising non-profit organisations, public bodies and private companies alike.
He has a particular interest in helping organisations to develop and communicate clear brand messages aimed at raising their profiles and maximising commercial success. He brings a sharp outside view to this work, enabling his clients to eliminate jargon and talk a language their audiences will understand!
Tariq also specialises in crisis communications – helping organisations to identify and prepare for potential risks, as well as to manage the reputational fall-out when things go awry.
He has handled thorny cases from fraud to business failures, employee disputes, community protests, construction disasters and child safety incidences.
These include advising a cancer charity under attack from a disaffected ex-employee, and supporting a vulnerable children’s respite charity when an employee was arrested for indecent child images.
