Ana Ortiz is an Associate Director of Development for The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is responsible for soliciting major gifts from individuals to support cancer research and treatment. She has over 10 years of non-profit experience and got her start in non-profit work as a Development Specialist for the Houston Museum of Natural Science at the start of the HMNS@100: Building for a Second Century of Science capital campaign. She then went to the American Heart Association-Houston chapter where she oversaw the annual Paul “Bear” Bryant Awards before landing at MD Anderson. As an active volunteer, she has served on fundraising committees for Miss Porter’s School, the arts and the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo.
